HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 2

Requesting that the West Virginia Division of Highways name the
bridge crossing the Tygart River on Brown Avenue at
Belington the "Belington Veterans' Memorial Bridge" and to
provide the appropriate signs recognizing the bridge as the
"Belington Veterans' Memorial Bridge".
Whereas, The Laurel Mountain Post #410 consists of
approximately four hundred veterans; and
Whereas, The members of Laurel Mountain Post #410 are
constant supporters of the community as a whole; and
Whereas, The veterans of Belington are especially supportive
of activities which work to mold and educate the area's youth;
and
Whereas, The veterans of the Laurel Mountain Post Color Guard
donate their time and talent to perform at various events in the
community; and
Whereas, The veterans of Belington continue to show the
utmost respect not only for this state, but also for this
country; and
Whereas, tThese well respected veterans are recognized by
members of the community of Belington as shining examples of true
and genuine patriotism; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the West Virginia Division of Highways is hereby
requested to name the bridge crossing the Tygart River on Brown
Avenue at Belington, West Virginia, the "Belington Veterans'
Memorial Bridge" and to provide the appropriate signs recognizing
the bridge as the "Belington Veterans' Memorial Bridge"; and, be
it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates
is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the
Commissioner of the West Virginia Division of Highways, the
Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Transportation and
the Governor of West Virginia.
